Shapes in the Environment

With our new Common Core curriculum, the students have to identify shapes in all different ways. They have to be able to identify shapes in the environment so I had the students find and sort shapes out of magazines. They were so surprised by their findings! Here's a picture of the finished products. The students also made tangram kites this week.
